Sadie Bramlette, 28, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to distributing controlled substances, including fentanyl, as part of a dark web drug trafficking scheme.
The case, which spanned from January 2023 to January 2025, unveiled an organized drug operation that used dark web marketplaces and social media forums to traffic a variety of illicit drugs.
Online Drug Network Uncovered
Acting U.S. Attorney Michele Beckwith stated that Bramlette and her partner, 27-year-old Dejian Johl, coordinated a system in which Johl managed drug orders and payments, while Bramlette handled shipping operations.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the duo distributed fentanyl, methamphetamine, Ecstasy, LSD, and other narcotics. Investigators found a financial trail of at least 1,350 transactions to Bramlette’s Cash App account — most linked to the drug trade — with Johl transferring the funds.
As part of her plea deal, Bramlette agreed to forfeit more than $100,000 in cash and luxury items tied to the operation.
Investigation and Sentencing
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service led the investigation that brought the duo to justice. Both Bramlette and Johl have now admitted guilt, with Johl entering his plea one week before Bramlette.
U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb will sentence Johl on September 22, 2025, followed by Bramlette on September 29. Each faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Sentencing will be based on statutory factors and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
