Millions of Americans who rely on Social Security retirement benefits are set to receive their latest monthly payment next week. The Social Security Administration (SSA) will send out June’s second round of payments on Wednesday, June 18.
Along with retirement benefits, the SSA will also issue Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and survivor benefits on the same day.
Who will receive their Social Security check on June 18?
Out of nearly 70 million people getting retirement, SSDI, or survivor benefits nationwide, most receive their payments on one of three Wednesdays each month. The specific Wednesday a person is paid depends on their birth date.
On June 18, payments will go to those born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
This comes after the first June payment round, made on June 11, covered beneficiaries born from the 1st to the 10th.
June 2025 Wednesday Payment Schedule:
- Wednesday, June 11: Birthdays from 1st to 10th

Who’s paid outside of the Wednesday schedule?

Supplemental Security Income (SSI), designed for low-income individuals aged 65 and over or with a disability, is usually paid on the 1st of the month.
People who receive both SSI and other SSA benefits typically get their SSI payment on the 1st and the rest on the 3rd.
Since June started on a Sunday, this month’s SSI payment went out earlier—on Friday, May 30.

- Friday, May 30: SSI recipients
- Tuesday, June 3: Social Security recipients with benefits since before May 1997
