This operation followed months of investigation and was carried out jointly by the Bellefontaine Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, June 27, around 7:20 p.m., officers executed multiple search warrants tied to drug trafficking. Their first stop was a home in the 400 block of East Auburn Avenue, belonging to the 49-year-old man. Officers reported finding drug trafficking evidence and arrested the 49-year-old, the 46-year-old, and the 34-year-old.
The 34-year-old attempted to flee but was stopped by K9 Pyro and handler Officer Hostetler. After receiving treatment at Mary Rutan Hospital for a dog bite, he was released into police custody. All three were booked into the Logan County Jail.
Authorities then served additional search warrants in the 400 block of North Detroit Street, where they found more suspected drug trafficking materials. Officers arrested the 63-year-old man, the 66-year-old man, the 63-year-old woman, and the unidentified woman. All four were also taken to the Logan County Jail.
Later, officials searched two apartment units on Kristina Drive linked to the 34-year-old man. Though unoccupied, both locations contained evidence supporting the investigation.
