One person is dead and four others are hospitalized following a mass shooting at a party in Springfield late Saturday night.

According to Clark County Dispatch, emergency crews responded around 10:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting at a home in the 1000 block of West Rose Street. Upon arrival, first responders discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

US Expands Militarized Zone Along Texas Border, Granting Troops Detention Powers

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others, due to the severity of their injuries, were airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. The remaining two victims were transported by ambulance to Springfield Regional Medical Center and Kettering Health Springfield. Their conditions have not yet been released.

A nearby resident who called 911 reported hearing around 20 gunshots, followed by the sound of screeching tires as a vehicle fled the scene.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Springfield Police Division. Anonymous tips can be submitted via email at [email protected].

The shooting remains under active investigation. No further details about the victims have been released at this time.

Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation, including the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Wittenberg University Police, and Springfield Fire and Rescue Division.
